Pastor Peter Jonas, 48, came to
Arcadia from Cross Plains, Wis.
His wife, Kary, is currently in her second year at Wartburg Theological Seminary
training to become a pastor. They have three children: 14-year old Maura, a
freshman at Arcadia High School; and 12-year old twin boys, Brendan and Liam,
7th graders at the Arcadia Middle School. Pastor Jonas grew up in Mercer,
Wis. and received his bachelors degree in journalism from UW-River Falls.
He trained for the ministry at Yale Divinity School, completed his internship in
Peterborough, England and was ordained in 1990. He has worked as a pastor
for 18 years in Iron Mountain, Mich., Madison and Cross Plains.

Music Director
Suzy has begun her duties as Sunday morning pianist/organist/accompanist, choir
director, bell choir director, and praise band director. She brings lots of
energy and sparkle to rehearsals.
Suzy and her husband Mark live in Galesville with their four-year-old twin sons
Gavin and Lars. Suzy works part time as an accountant for The Insurance Center
in Onalaska. Mark is a paramedic. Gavin and Lars have kept their parents busy
for the last few years, but as the boys grow, Suzy has been finding more time
again for her love of music. Recently, Suzy has shared her church music skills
with Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in La Crescent and Zion Lutheran Church in
Galesville. Suzy said, "I am very excited about this job here at Christ Lutheran
as it gives me a chance to work with your musical groups." After praise band,
bells. and choir rehearsals last Wednesday night, Suzy asked, "Where did this
congregation get all these great musicians? The kids were great. Praise band is
such a fun group to work with."
Suzy earned her degree in accounting at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. Her
minor was music. During these college years Suzy studied organ under Bill
Kuhlman at Luther. Bill was our organ consultant when we purchased our Casavant
back in 1981. Late this summer, Suzy just happened to run into Bill and he
suggested that she might look into playing in Arcadia because they have a very
nice organ up there." Suzy contacted us just at the right time. We are so
grateful to Bill Kuhlman-again.
The Tweet family enjoys camping and hiking together when their busy schedules
allow. Suzy also enjoys sewing and cooking. Accountant, musician, wife, and
mother will keep her busy, but we're confident that Suzy has the energy level to
excel in everything she does.
