Kris is originally from Rice Lake, WI. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse with a double major in both choral and general music education. She taught 7-12th grade choral music in the Arcadia School District and then retired! She ventured to St. John's Lutheran Church and School in Fort Wayne, IN where she was the Minister of Music, teaching K-12 music at their private school and leading all of the music at the church. She greatly missed her church family at Christ Lutheran that she had come to know during her time of teaching in Arcadia and decided to accept the position of Minister of Music, Youth & Education in January, 2000. The rest is history!! Kris was selected as a Global Music Intern and has had the honor to work with Marty Haugen, Mary Preus, Tom Witt & Anthony Machado. She was part of the La Crosse Synod Team that introduced the new ELW hymnbook to the congregations in the synod and has been a musician for numerous synod assemblies and other gatherings. Kris teaches private piano, guitar, drum, trumpet, French horn, bass guitar and voice lessons. She also enjoys composing, recording, bowling, playing her Wii, movies, and has recently given up drinking Pepsi!!
