Mission Statement and Goals

Our mission is to encourage and equip youth in the Christian faith. The Youth Committee has also developed four goals:

1) To develop a coordinated program through all ages,
2) To include ALL youth that seeks to grow in faith.
3) To implement both service and fun events/programs.
4) That each event/program contains a spiritual element for us all to learn.

The Youth Committee meets on the second Tuesday of every month at 7:15 pm.  This committee is comprised of both adults and youth in a attempt to provide the youth with a voice in which activities would be of interest.  The committee also provides ideas for any family activities.

Elementary Age Youth

The following programs are available to our elementary age youth:

• FaithWeavers (1st-6th grade) - Meets every Wednesday in the Arcadia Public School gym when school is in session at 3:30-5:00 pm. This group sings, acts, snacks, crafts, Bible study and plays games.

• "Praise" Band (any age) - Meets every Wednesday at 5:45 pm. This group leads worships with instruments and song.

Jr. High Youth

The following programs are available to our Jr. High youth:

• "Praise" Band (any age) - Meets every Wednesday at 5:45 pm. This group leads worships with instruments and song.

• "REEL" World (7th-12th grade) - Meets every second Friday of the month.  Uses popular movies to
  generate discussion on current issues and Bible readings.

• "Game" Night (7th-12th grade) - Meets every fourth Friday of the month.  Fellowship time for youth to play games and to hang out together in a safe environment.

• Revelation Ringers Bell Choir (6th-Adult) - Meets every Monday at 6:30 pm.

• Senior Choir (7th-Adult) - Meets every Wednesday at 8:00 pm.

Senior High Youth

The following programs are available to our High School youth:

• "REEL" World (7th-12th grade) - Meets every second Friday of the month.  Uses popular movies to

• Senior Luther League - Meets throughout the year. Organizes and implements fundraisers.  Participates in National Youth Gatherings and Mission Trips.

Conclusion

The Youth Ministry program at Christ Lutheran has been very active. We thank the Youth Committee for their dedication and urge more adults to become active with our youth. We, as a congregation, are not only serving the youth of our congregation, but also helping and guiding youth from a variety of backgrounds to a closer understanding of who God is.
