Christ Lutheran Church offers two worship services, Sunday
morning at 8:00 and 10:30 am. Summer 2010: Sunday morning 8:00 and 10:00
am. Holy Communion is offered at
every Sunday worship service.
Additional Services
Christ Lutheran Church has additional
services on the following days: Wednesday Services during Lent, Maundy Thursday,
Good Friday, Rally Sunday, Ecumenical Baccalaureate Service (at the Arcadia
High School, music alternates between Holy Family Parish and Christ Lutheran
Church), Ecumenical Service on Thanksgiving Eve (alternates between Holy
Family Parish and Christ Lutheran Church), Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Music
The following music groups are available for all members of our congregation:
FaithWeavers (1st-6th grade) - Meets every Wednesday in the
Arcadia Public School
gym when school is in session at 3:15-5:00 pm. This group sings, acts,
snacks, crafts, Bible study and plays games.
"Praise" Band (any age) - Meets every Wednesday at 5:45 pm. This group leads worships
with instruments and song. Performs 2nd Sunday of the month 2nd service and
4th Sunday of the month 1st service.
Jubilation Bell Choir (6th grade-Adult) - Meets every
Wednesday at 6:45 pm
Celebration Bell Choir - Meets every Monday at 7:00 pm
Senior Choir (7th grade-Adult) - Meets every Wednesday at 8:00 pm
Sings 2nd Sunday of the month 2nd service and 3rd Sunday of the month 1st
service.
Summer Choir (7th grade-Adult) - Sings one Sunday a month
during the summer. Practice is on that Sunday at 8:45 am
Festival Brass (7th grade-Adult) - Plays for special services
as needed. Rehearses one or two weeks prior to service.
Conclusion
The Worship and Music Committee is very active in trying to provide the
congregation with a variety of worship styles, yet never veering too far from
our traditional worship. We acknowledge that many people worship in different
ways and we hope that through the music and worship at Christ Lutheran Church
you are able to find a closer relationship with God.
